Those whom it concerns may be interested to know that the W.A.T.C.H. Baltimore summer barbecue series will be starting again this Sunday, July 15th, at 6 PM, and continuing at two-week intervals throughout the summer. With great appreciation for their help we are pleased to announce that we have moved to a new location and will now be holding our barbecues at The Red Clover Collective, 603 E 30th Street. These events are intended as a space for women and trans* people only, on the basis of self-identification.

This BBQ, Revenge & Resistance, will celebrate our resilience: 

J from K.O.V.E.N. will detail the history of feminist & queer militancy, violence, and revenge.

Monica, who has worked with Women Accepting Responsibility and homeless trans* populations, will speak about her everyday resistance and work as a transgender woman of color in Baltimore.

As always there will be FREE food with gluten free & vegan options, and childcare provided. If you or anyone you know would be interested in attending this event please to do not hesitate to repost this invitation.

our feminist reading group will be hosting a series of feminist-themed bbqs / lectures in baltimore throughout the summer. the first one is this sunday & will be on the topic of trans* feminism w/ presentations by jackie wang and caroline bren.

each bbq will feature presentations and performances, FREE FOOD, and provide a space to meet each other, discuss feminism, and hang out. topics will include transfeminism, reproductive justice, prison abolition, sex positivity and its limits, and more. we’ll be meeting in the backyard lot behind the brickhaus, where the bearings bike project has recently found a new home. come party/eat/chat with us!

* please note, this is only for women & trans* folks. no cis men!!!
